Ivan Netov

Born: October 22, 1968 in Panagyurishte

Participant in two Olympics - seventh in Atlanta '96 and ninth in Barcelona '92. Winner of international tournaments, second at the World Army Games in 1994.

Former coach of the national team. Under his leadership, Georgi Georgiev won bronze at the 2004 Athens Olympics.

His successes in sambo are also significant. World and European champion in sambo, with a total of 24 medals in all ages from continental and planetary championships. International Sambo Judge and Head of the Judicial Commission of the European Sambo Federation.

In his hometown he created two of his own judo and sambo clubs - "Panagyurishte" and "Martial Arts".

Netov is currently the manager of the sports hall in Panagyurishte Arena Assarel.
